Friday Harbor boys complete first-half sweep of league

Friday Harbor boys basketball team sank only 2 of 7 free-throw shots in the fourth quarter at Coupeville Tuesday, Jan. 17. Fortunately for the visiting Wolverines those shots by Chad Stoddard and Tyler Hart were the final points in a 62-60 victory.

The Wolverines complete the first half of Northwest A/B League play 7-0 and first in the A Division. Coupeville, 4-3, is tied for second place with La Conner. Concrete is fourth with an 0-7 record.

Friday Harbor's John Hamilton led all scorers with 20 points. Hart scored 14 and Stoddard chipped in 13. Dylan Gerhardstein had 9 and Eric Rothlisberger contributed 6.

Orcas visits Friday Harbor at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21.

Friday Harbor boys blast by Concrete

Chad Stoddard scored 24 points as Friday Harbor ripped Concrete 79-42 in Northwest A/B League action Friday, Jan. 13. John Hamilton added 15 and Tyler Hart contributed 10 for the Wolverines, who improve to 6-0 in conference play.

Brock McNairy, Matt Rothlisberger and Andrew Scheffer pitched in 6 apiece for the Wolverines, who led by 40 points in the fourth quarter. Dylan Gerhardstein scored 5, Tommy Fowler had 4 and Sal Ukra finished with 2.
