Wolverine girls topple Darrington in 2nd half

Kiersten Radden scored 10 points as Friday Harbor topped Darrington 48-31 Friday, Jan. 27 in Northwest A/B League action. The Wolverines outscored the host Loggers 28-13 in the second half.

The Loggers trailed 20-18 at the half but couldn't keep up with the Wolverines in the third and fourth quarters.

Sarah Anderson led the Wolverines' balanced scoring attack with 12 points. Natalie Chevalier and Pearl Schuman pitched in 8 points apiece. Annie Bryant and Alysa Kelsey each scored 3. Sarah Heeren and Katie Shanks contributed 2 apiece.

Wolverine girls stop Hurricanes

Friday Harbor girls basketball squad edged Mount Vernon Christian 36-33 in a Northwest A/B League road contest Tuesday, Jan. 24. The Wolverines improved to 6-3 in league play and 9-6 overall.
