Friday Harbor High School boys soccer team scored twice in the last few minutes of the Nov. 1 league playoff game and beat the Orcas team 2-1.

Sixty-six minutes into the match Orcas Island’s Andon Hiltner put the Vikings up 1-0.

Friday Harbor knotted the game with about two and a half minutes to go. Kevin O’Connor passed to Felipe Lopez. The Wolverine forward fed Mario Nunez, who quickly booted it into the net.

Less than a minute later, Louis Paul "cut across the grain and pulled the trigger" from 25 yards out.

The Wolverines have secured a trip to the state tourney with the win. They will play at Tri-District on Saturday to determine if they are the #1 or #2 seed. The Vikings will compete for #3 seed to state Saturday at Mount Vernon High School.
