Wolverines, Lions split baseball doubleheader

Friday Harbor's baseball squad split a home doubleheader with Concrete, Saturday, April 7. The Wolverines shut out the Lions 11-0 in the first contest. Concrete won the second contest 6-1.

Richie Ochoa drove in three runs for the Wolverines off a single and double in the Wolverines' victory. Forrest Crawford rapped a single and a double. Jordan Nash, Seiji Boku and winning pitcher Matt Rothlisberger each ripped two singles.

The Wolverines out-hit the Lions 8-4 in the second game and left the bases loaded in the sixth and seventh innings.


Ochoa fans 12 in Friday Harbor victory

Richie Ochoa struck out 12 Meridian batters in Friday Harbor's 8-0 victory over the visiting Trojans Thursday, April 6.

Ochoa allowed four hits and walked four. On offense, he singled, doubled and had an RBI.

Forrest Crawford bashed two doubles and a single and drove in two runs. Ryan Aylward hit two base hits and a double. Cole Franklin singled twice.


Friday Harbor sluggers pound Shoreline Christian

Richie Ochoa ripped to doubles and a single as the Friday Harbor baseball team blasted Shoreline Christian 13-2 in five innings Tuesday, April 3 at Hartman Field.

Forrest Crawford didn't allow a hit or run, walked one and fanned seven in three innings for the Wolverines. He also singled and doubled. Cole Franklin gave up one hit, struck out two and walked one in one inning of relief. Cole Howard closed the game for the Wolverines and gave up one hit, two runs and struck out one.

Parker Lawson and Ryan Aylward smacked base hits for the Wolverines.
