The Eagles went up 23-21 before the Wolverines scored the final three points for a 25-23 game victory. Friday Harbor nipped Evergreen 15-13 in the fifth game. Friday Harbor made up for their lack of height and numbers with smart hitting, accurate serving and more stamina than their opponent. "Sarah Heeren was just relentless at the net," Mager said. "She's using her blockers as tools to hit the ball around," Mager said. Heeren also was consistent in the backcourt. "I think she only missed one serve all day," Mager said. "Our serving is key," he added. Maddy Anderson also In the second game, Mager moved Anderson from outside hitter to setter. "She did well in adjusting and getting to the ball," he said. The Wolverines played with only one player on the bench, so some of their players see action an entire match. "They have to be in good shape to do that," Mager said. "They have to be able to out-hustle (their foes)." Wolverine spikers drop season opener to Bravesposted 09/03/2006
