La Conner slipped past Orcas 27-26 in a record defensive contest in the Tri-District 2B Tournament Friday, Feb. 22 at Chief Leschi High School. The Braves earned a state berth and advanced to the Tri-District third-fourth-place game. The Vikings had to beat Seattle Lutheran on Saturday to gain the Tri-District's fifth and final seed.
