Orcas Island girls basketball team thumped Mount Vernon Christian 54-27, Tuesday, Feb. 5 in Northwest 1A/2B League action.

Crusader girls top Vikings, remain undefeated in league

Shoreline Christian girls basketball team moved one win from a perfect Northwest 1A/2B League season by beating Orcas Island 62-46 Saturday, Feb. 2.

The Crusaders improve to 11-0 in conference and 18-1 overall. The Vikings are 7-3 and 13-3.

Cara Peacock led the Vikings with 13 and Lanie Padbury chipped in 10. The other Orcas scorers were: Renae Harvey 7, Melissa Moran-Hodge 7, Anika Thomas 6, Stephanie Shaw 2 and Maddy Smith 1.

Orcas Island's girls basketball team defeated Concrete 42-31 in Northwest 1A/2B League play Tuesday, Jan. 22.

Viking girls beat Hurricanes

Orcas Island improved to 4-2 in Northwest 1A/2B League play by defeating Mount Vernon Christian 62-54 Saturday, Jan. 12. The Vikings are 10-2 overall.
