The Vikings and Archbishop Murphy completed league play tied at 6-4 and play a tie-breaker against Tuesday, Feb. 11 to determine the Northwest A League's No. 2 team. The line -- center James Reid, guards Tristan Savell and Chad Kimple, tackles Caylin McClary and Taylor Tollefson and ends Justin Langworthy and Chris Rosa -- enabled quarterback McLane Stone to do "a great job of ball-control offense," Dahl added.

Viking coach Gregg Sasan was pleased after his team's fourth victory in eight days. "When you come to Friday Harbor, you never know what's going to happen," Sasan said. "They're always ready."
The Vikings "didn't quit hitting," Sasan noted.
"We were attacking the ball on every play but our poor serving hurt us," Friday Harbor coach Kris Nieland said. "To Orcas' credit, they have some really tough servers. They know how to make it drop."
Julia Ross had three blocks for the Wolverines that "helped us get focused and back in the match," Nieland said.
"Ashley Dixon had a good game," Nieland said.
"MacKenzie Raab had a good day setting," Nieland added.
