Wolves defeat Friday Harbor softball team twice

Coupeville bolstered its first-place standing in Northwest A League fastpitch action by beating Friday Harbor both games of a doubleheader Tuesday, April 23.

The Wolves won the first contest 12-5 and took the second game 18-3.

Coupeville improves to 8-1 in league and 10-1 overall. Friday Harbor, which gained a win after short-handed Orcas forfeited last week, is 6-5 and 9-5.

Wildcat's Linscott throws perfect game against Wolverines

Fire-hurler Kristen Linscott struck out 15 batters en route to a perfect game as Archbishop Murphy Wildcats smoked Friday Harbor 15-0 in Northwest A League fastpitch action Friday, April 12.

The Wolverines fall to 5-3 in league and 8-3 overall. The Wildcats are 6-2 in league and overall.

Friday Harbor second baseman Maggie Foley turned in an unassisted double play to help secure a 12-2 win over Concrete in 5 innings Tuesday, April 9.

Ashley Dixon singled and doubled for the Wolverines. Sissy Carlton, who earned the win, hit a base hit. Megan Vynne, Kelsea Peterman and Foley also rapped singles.

Friday Harbor improves to 5-2 in Northwest A League action and is tied for second with Archbishop Murphy. The Wolverines are 8-2 overall.
