Cattle Point Interpretive Center. End of Cattle Point Rd., 10 miles south of Friday Harbor. Picnic tables, interpretive signs. Marine and wildlife views. Short walk to Cattle Point Light, on cliffs overlooking Strait of Juan de Fuca.
Fairgrounds Family Park/Skatepark. Argyle Avenue, edge of Friday Harbor. New skateboarding, in-line skating, trick bike facility. Playground equipment. Picnic shelter with tables and large grill.
Jackson Beach Park. Off Pear Point Rd., south of Friday Harbor, San Juan Island. Beachcombing, picnicking, boating, including windsurfing. Boat launch. Abutting wildlife sanctuary.
Obstruction Pass Recreation Site. Obstruction Pass Rd., southeastern Orcas Island. 9 campsites. Picnic area. Views of Obstruction Pass and Obstruction Island. State Department of Natural Resources site.
Reuben Tarte Park. Limestone Point Rd., 10 miles north of Friday Harbor. San Juan Island. Two small, secluded beaches.
Shark Reef Park. Shark Reef Rd., southwest Lopez Island. Paths through thick evergreen forest and along rocky shore. Often views of seals and other marine life. Cooperative venture between San Juan County Parks and the state Department of Natural Resources.
Sunken Park. Above main Friday Harbor ferry lanes. Children’s toys, basketball court, gazebo.
Upright Channel Park. Military Rd., Lopez Island. Picnic areas. Trail to beach and tidelands.
