The San Juan Islands may be remote, but a wide variety of activities are available.

Lopez Island, Orcas Island and San Juan Island each have their own community theaters. A variety of musical and dramatic productions are staged every year by the many talented artists who call the San Juans home. Galleries on the three major islands offer everything from watercolors to pottery.

Orcas Island's recreational program is open to both residents and visitors.

Everything from whales to the turn-of-the-century jail are on display at the many museums in the islands.
