Candidate Forums July 16 in Friday Harbor; July 18 in Eastsound

The League of Women Voters of the San Juans, a non-partisan, non-profit organization, is sponsoring voter forums in Friday Harbor and on Orcas Island. 

The Friday Harbor Voter Forum will be at the Grange Hall at 5:30 PM on Tuesday, July 16.

The Orcas Voter Forum will be at the Senior Center at 5:30 PM on Thursday, July 18.

The Forums are designed to help voters get to know their candidates for County Council.  The primary election is August 6, and the San Juan County Elections Office will be mailing ballots to registered voters on July 16.    

The Voter Forum is a moderated event during which candidates will present introductory statements and respond to your questions, within time limits.

Candidates confirmed to attend on July 16 in Friday Harbor and respond to your questions are Adrian Kilpatrick, Kari McVeigh, and Stephanie O’Day (County Council District 1 – San Juan Island). Candidates confirmed to attend on July 18 on Orcas are Jonathan Jonnie Welch, Justin Paulsen, and Rick Hughes (County Council District 2 – Orcas).
