Search is on for new San Juan County manager; Thomas leaving at end of February
SAN JUAN COUNTY, WA – At the end of February 2024, San Juan County Manager Mike Thomas will be stepping down from the position he's held for 10 years. He has worked in local government in Washington State for over 33 years.
During his career, Mike has held positions that cover a wide span of disciplines including planning, policy, budget, and finance. He has served as a city administrator and county manager.
“I am pleased with all that has been accomplished over the years,” said Thomas. “The county has good staff who work hard for the residents and the organization is positioned well for the next decade.”
“Through good times and some really tough ones including the pandemic, we were fortunate to have someone of Mike’s ability work tirelessly on our behalf,” said Councilmember Christine Minney.
The search for a new manager is underway.
