Drugs found in Friday Harbor thanks to K9 Sucia

K9 Sucia, San Juan County Sheriff Office's drug-sniffing dog alerted its handler to the presence of drugs in a vehicle Friday, August 21 in Friday Harbor.

The vehicle had been stopped about 8:30 p.m. because it had two different license plates and the driver was suspected of being under the influence of intoxicants.

A search warrant was obtained based on K9 Sucia's response. A large number of illegal drugs including suspected cocaine, LSD, and Psilocybin Mushrooms were found in the vehicle along with scales, baggies, and other paraphernalia.

The driver was booked into the jail on charges of DUI and possession with intent to deliver as well as a felony arrest warrant out of Everett, Washington.
