WDFW cite boaters exceeding shrimp limit in San Juan Islands
Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife conducted multiple shrimp patrols in north Puget Sound for the shrimp opener in the San Juan Islands. The daily limit of 80 spot shrimp was exceeded by some boaters:

One boat with two people possessed 449 shrimp.
One boat with one person possessed 262 shrimp & a closed season crab
One boat with three people possessed 501 shrimp
One boat with three people possessed 426 shrimp
One boat with three people possessed 601 shrimp
Boaters were cited. The shrimp were donated.
