San Juan County Deputies responded to 173 calls from February 8-14, 2023 including: A Lopez Deputy responded when an online stranger attempted to blackmail a Lopezian juvenile. The stranger was blocked, the parents were notified, and a report drafted. A report of spray paint vandalism was taken at the fairgrounds. The skate park along with the old foundations where the chicken and rabbit tents go was spray painted with graffiti. A Lopez Deputy responded when two off dogs escaped onto Port Stanley Road. The two dogs were set free when a tree fell and damaged the fence containing them. They were quickly recovered by their owner.
