Five win Island Rec's 30th Anniversary Photo Contest

As part of Island Rec's 30th anniversary celebration, Island Rec invited photographers of all ages to participate in our first-ever photography contest. The five winners were announced last week. 

Participants to submitted original photographs that best represented Island Rec and 30 years of People, Parks, Programs, and Trails. Categories included: Faces: People + Pets; Parks or Trails (Island Rec’s); Activities - Sports - Events; Historical Photos of an Island Rec Program; Young Photographers; Professional Photographers.

Winners of the contest were:

Faces - People and/or Pets: Aaron Shepard

Trails: Theresa Simendinger

Activities, Sports and Events: Heather Clark

Young Photographers under 10 - Faces: Jordyn Rhodes

Young Photographers under 10 - Nature: Kailey Raivo
