Teddy Deane deserves a prize for "Most Hospitable" islander. Walking in San Juan Island National Historical Park last week, the San Juan Island musician ran into the Punk-Ass Cowgirls bicycling group. The group of women had planned on camping in the park.
In a Facebook post Deane wrote, "They had no place to stay as the park has no camping, so naturally I invited them over. They camped in the yard, went to the contra dance and ended up in my studio for a few beers and a few songs."
Deane and his wife Alice had the women in for coffee in the morning before the group pedaled off on their way to Oregon.
