Carol Wyatt Monson passed away on the morning of 1 March 2022. Carol was born on the 4th of June 1946 in Washington DC to Birchard and Elizabeth Wyatt, their second child and only daughter. While she was still a young child her father passed away, leaving her mother to forage ahead with a business of her own as well as raise her children.
As her mother’s business involved travel Carol attended numerous grammar schools in the U.S. – but also included three years in grammar school in San Miguel de Allende in Mexico. Her high school years were spent in Europe and, following graduation, she attended both the University of Colorado and Miami University.
Upon graduation she felt the most rapid career course would be to gain employment overseas, so she took on a marketing position with Bruynzeel in South Africa, eventually working up to Group Manager, Marketing.
In 1975 her still traveling mother took her on a ‘round the world’ vacation stint. During this vacation she met up with her future husband, John, when they crossed paths in Singapore. They were married later that year and soon thereafter relocated to Friday Harbor, Washington.
She was preceded in death by both her parents and son Hunter. She is lovingly survived by her elder brother Robert, nephews Robert and Mark and their families of Virginia, her husband John and son Spain; all of whom are going to miss her greatly.
