Eldon Lloyd Bryant December 6, 1931 - November 25, 2022
Eldon Lloyd Bryant was born on December 6, 1931 to Katherine and Lloyd Bryant. He grew up in Centralia, Washington, later relocating to Hoquiam, Washington where he met his bride, Barbara Brown. Barbara and Eldon were married for 68 years before his death on November 25, 2022 at the age of 90. He leaves behind his wife, Barbara and their three children, Terry Bryant, Kelley Shope and Tracey Racek along with four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
As a young adult Eldon proudly served his country by joining the Coast Guard. After that, he attended the University of Washington, (GO Huskies!) remaining a Husky fan for life. Later on, he worked for a company by the name of Monitor Products out of Tacoma, Washington for many years. He eventually retired from the corporate world and started a sailboat company in Seattle, Washington by the name of Wind Yachts, all the while enjoying life as a boat owner with time spent on Puget Sound and cruising the beautiful waters of the San Juan Islands every summer with family and friends.
He and Barbara enjoyed the San Juan Islands so much that after their family was grown, they moved there. They made many lifetime friends and loved their life in the San Juan’s. Not one to sit idle for long, Eldon took up architecture work and designed custom homes for individuals, leaving his lasting mark on the island with the gorgeous modern homes he designed.
Eventually the beautiful Arizona sunshine called their names and they relocated once again to live out their lives there enjoying all that Arizona has to offer, golf, swimming, sunshine and the company of amazing friends and family. He was always proud to sport his Husky flag on the back of his golf cart!
We are heartbroken to announce his death but we know he lead a very active, long and fulfilling life and we all feel privileged to have been a part of it.
