While the traditional Friday Harbor Elementary School parade was called off, the annual trick-or-treating in Friday Harbor was in full swing on Friday evening.
Bars were lively with costumed party-goers on Halloween. Some of the costumes were a bit difficult to decipher. Life of the Party and Fork in the Road for instance. County workers and bank staff were just some of the employees that dressed for the occasion.
It's an island tradition to visit Connie and Guard Sundstrom's Fir Oak farm and pick out a pumpkin for Halloween. It's self-serve and open the entire month of October.
Friday Harbor High School students know how to throw a parade. As is the tradition, each grade created a float, and the homecoming parade wound through town. The senior class won for best float. Then it was on to the pep rally before the football game. SLIDESHOW
Christopher Durang comedy - Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike - won the Tony Award for best play in 2013. This is one of the newest plays to hit the SJCT stage with performances from October 16-25.
