Wolverine Girls Soccer team headed to state

Friday Harbor High School Girls Soccer team secured a state berth with a shoot-out victory over Mount Rainier Lutheran. The Wolverines, clinched the Northwest 2B-1B League Girls Soccer Title with their 5-0 win over the Orcas Vikings on October 25.

The girls play against Crosspoint on Saturday, November 8 for the Bi-District championship. The winner will be the number one seed at the state tournament, the loser of the championship game will be the second seed at state.

Crosspoint beat La Conner at Mount Vernon 6-1.

The Boys Soccer team, playing today at Mount Vernon for seeding at state, lost to Mount Vernon Christian 4-0. The boys cheered on the girls and mobbed them on the field after the win.
