Vikings and Wolverines both lose first round; play crucial 2nd game at 3 p.m.
District 1 Champions Friday Harbor High School fastpitch team played Ocasta in the first round of the 2018 Softball State Championships 2B in Yakima Friday morning, May 25. Ocasta beat Friday Harbor 14-6. The Wolverines face Liberty Christian at 3 p.m. Colfax beat Liberty Christian 11-9 in the first round.
Orcas Island Vikings were shut out by Pe Ell/Willapa Valley 12-0 in the first round. The Vikings face Liberty Bell at 3 p.m. Northwest Christian School beat Liberty Bell in the first round 9-4.
The second round games are loser out. The winners continue in the consolation round.
