Friday Harbor seeded 2nd, Orcas Island 5th in state soccer tourney
Friday Harbor (11-2-0) earned a No. 2 seed in the Class 1B/2B Boys State Soccer Tournament and will face 7th-seed Riverside Christian (8-5-0) in a quarterfinal match Nov. 10 or 11. Fifth-seed Orcas Island (10-5-0) will play fourth-seed Evergreen Lutheran (9-5-0).
The other quarterfinal matches feature: Sixth-seed Mount Vernon Christian (12-4-1) vs. third-seed Upper Columbia Academy (10-2-0); and first-seed Auburn Adventist (10-2-0) vs. eighth-seed Providence Classical Christian (11-4-0).
Quarterfinal dates, times and locations will likely be announced Monday, Nov. 6. The quarterfinal winners advance to semifinals Nov. 17 at Federal Way Stadium, where the championship and consolation matches will be played on Nov. 18.
